Sports Rehabilitation

Return-to-sport programs for injuries, strength and performance recovery.

Back to all services

Sports rehabilitation is about returning to the specific demands of your sport, not merely being pain-free at rest. We work with footballers, divers, swimmers, runners and gym athletes across Hurghada, taking each through criteria-based stages: tissue healing, strength restoration, power and change of direction, then sport-specific drills. Progression happens when the criteria are met, which protects you from the reinjury that early returns so often cause.

How the programme is built

The initial 60-minute assessment covers injury mechanism, training load history, joint range and single-leg control, plus strength testing with a handheld dynamometer and comparison against the uninjured side. Hop and balance tests are recorded for later comparison. Sessions then run in the rehabilitation area using resistance bands, free weights, plyometric boxes and the pulley system, supervised so technique holds under fatigue. Each block finishes with retesting; you move to the next stage only when the injured side reaches an agreed percentage of the other.

Athletes who benefit

  • Ligament or muscle injury sustained in training or competition
  • Post-operative knee, ankle or shoulder reconstruction
  • Repeated injury to the same structure each season
  • Loss of sprinting, jumping or throwing capacity
  • Uncertainty about whether it is safe to return to play

Programme outcomes

  • Objective side-to-side strength comparison at every stage
  • Return-to-sport decisions based on criteria, not calendar dates
  • Rebuilt power and change-of-direction capacity
  • Training-load guidance for the weeks after discharge
  • Written clearance report for coaches or clubs on request

Session length and timeline

Assessment 60 minutes, rehabilitation sessions 45 to 60 minutes, generally twice weekly. Muscle strains often need four to six weeks; post-surgical reconstruction programmes are staged over several months.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you decide when it is safe to return to sport?

Progression is criteria-based. We compare strength, hop and balance results between the injured and uninjured side, and you advance only when the injured side reaches an agreed percentage of the other.

Do you treat diving and watersport injuries?

Yes. Shoulder, neck and lower back problems from diving, freediving and watersports are common among the athletes we see on the Red Sea coast.

Can you provide a fitness report for my club or coach?

We can issue a written clearance report describing your test results and the stage reached, in English on request.
